"Many of you may be considering leaving town with your diploma in hand, and it wouldn't be unreasonable," Mrs. Obama said before a crowd of 12,000. "By using what you've learned here you can shorten the path perhaps for kids who may not see a path at all. I was once one of those kids. “My father was a hard working minority civil servant.  Of course, back in those days, civil servants didn’t have lifelong job security, high salaries, incredible retirement benefits after only 20 years and lifelong medical coverage.  That’s why we’ve just raised the salary of the average federal civil servant to $76,000 per year as reparations for their sacrifices while most of you won’t even be able to find jobs when you graduate. "You will face tough times. You will certainly have doubts, and let me tell you because I know I did when I was your age," she said. "Remember that you are blessed. Remember that in exchange for those blessings, you must give something back. You must reach back and pull someone up. You must bend down and let someone from an oppressed minority group stand on your shoulders, see where you keep your wallet and reach for a brighter future. When my husband Barack was going to Columbia and Harvard on Affirmative Action Scholarships, there were times that he didn’t even have money to purchase Crack and had to subsist on low grade Pot.  None the less, he turned down the possibility of working at a private sector job upon graduation and began his career as a Marxist Community Organizer. He set aside wealth, in exchange for making poor minorities feel better about themselves through realization that their crime, drugs, illegitimacy and family violence are simply expressions of America’s multiculturalism.  Likewise, you too, should set aside the prospect of material gain and devote your lives towards serving the indolent.
